How do I know when my Spirit Guide or Angel is talking with me?

This is an exercise that begins with the heart – not the mind. Many people hear their Guides and Angles in their heart as a quiet voice or perhaps a thought. Understanding the difference between one of your thoughts and a message is discernment. The difference is subtle, which uses a different skill than seeing the difference between a can of soda and glass of water. This skill begins inside away from the hustle and bustle of circumstances and the opinions of others.

The secret to success is trusting yourself to let in what you hear and believe it.

Your intuition is the inner skill set that plays an important role in this communication. An easy way to distinguish messages from thoughts is that the messages will always be positive and helpful. They can also provide warnings if there is danger. Messages can come in dreams or through signs tor synchronistic events – remember there are no coincidences.

Your Guides and Angels know one thing about you that you often forget, “You are a Beloved Being and are loved completely and fully.”

Your Guides and Angels will provide information and message that give guidance, help you, resolve situations producing stress and anxiety, solve issues, and shed light on mysteries. You have to open the door to them by exercising your muscle of inner trust. This isn’t the kind of trust you ask for to get money in the mail or find your lover. No, this kind of trust is built on inner resolve and stems from your heart without any conditional acceptance upon this circumstance or this experience. This is trusting “you” for no reason at all and the benefit is inner waves of joy and satisfaction.

Do I have more than one Guide or Angel?

You can have dozens of Guides and Angels. They can be Ascended Masters or come from lives you have lived, be someone you have known in this life that has passed over, or be from another universe. They can also be animals or from the Nature Kingdom. We each have a Guardian Angel that is assigned to us at birth. All you have to do is call and they will be there for you. The trick is to remember calling for them. They have so much unconditional love for you. At other times you have a Guide or Angel that is assigned to you for a certain protection, creativity, or healing.

How do I know my Guide or Angel is talking with me?

It is easier to hear them speaking to you in your heart. You need to move your awareness from your mind to your heart to create a listening opportunity. This involves three easy steps that you can do almost anywhere.

1. Establish a stream of inner attention on the pulse of your heart for a minute or two. It helps to focus on your breathing and let go of thinking about this or that. Just listen to your breathing and the pulse of your heart.

2. Ask your Guides and Angels to be with you now. You don’t need their name to get started. Just ask inside or even verbally. “I ask that my Angels and Guides be with me now for my highest and best good.”

3. Be receptive. That means, no doubting allowed here. Listen to the impressions, voices, and thoughts that resound within you. Or, have a blank piece of paper in front of you and allow yourself to write freely without thinking about what you are writing. In other words, write down your impressions and voices and thoughts. All these will be positive and filled with love, encouragement, and Light.

Your Guides and Angels want to be off service to you. They are available to you 24/7. Don’t hesitate to call on them.

What is the benefit of listening to my Guides and Angels?

Your Guides and Angels have their Light to share with you. They have your best interest at hand and will help you live your life according to the deepest values in your heart. They are here to have you accomplish your heart’s desires: happiness, prosperity, joy, loving relationships, vibrant health, and fulfillment on every level. They want you to avoid danger and will provide you with warnings.

For example, I have seen people’s Guides and Angels tell them to slow down the temp of their living, that they do certain things. And, when they folks don’t follow that advice then they end up in an accident or painful situation that makes them take it easy and slow down. Call on your Guides and Angels frequently, they are here to assist you – now.

So take heart when you are suffering, challenged by life or feeling lonely. Know that you are not alone. There are myriad loving spirit guides always with you closer than your own breath just waiting to be called upon to be of service. Trust.

What is the best posture for prayer?

Through spiritual research, SSRF has identified and recommends the following mudra or posture that is most conducive to gain the maximum divine energy through prayer.

The following subtle diagrams show the two stages in this mudra (posture) and what actually happens at a spiritual level when one prays

Explanation Stage 1 of prayer posture (mudra)

The first stage in this mudra is raising one’s hands in prayer with the thumbs gently touching the mid-brow region or the Aadnyaa chakra (the spiritual energy centre at the mid-brow region). It is best to begin praying after we are in this position.

When we bow our head in this prayer position, it awakens the spiritual emotion of surrender in us. This in turn activates the appropriate subtle frequencies of deities from the Universe. These divine frequencies come in through our finger tips which act as receptors.

These divine frequencies are then channelised into our body through the thumb to the Aadnyaa chakra (the spiritual energy centre at the mid-brow region). The result is an increase in the positive spiritual energy in us which makes us feel lighter or gives relief from symptoms of physical or mental distress.

Explanation Stage 2 of prayer posture (mudra)

After one finishes his prayer, he should assume the second mudraa (posture) as shown in the diagram above. This means that instead of bringing his hands in prayer down immediately, they are to be placed in the mid-chest region in such a way that the wrists touch the chest.

This facilitates the process of more completely imbibing the Divine Consciousness of the deity principle. So initially the Divine Consciousness of the deity principle that had entered the finger tips now also gets transmitted to the region of chest, the seat of the Anaahat chakra.

Just like the Aadnyaa chakra, the Anaahat chakra also absorbs sattva frequencies. By touching the wrists to the chest, the Anaahat chakra is activated and it helps in absorbing more sattva frequencies. When activated, the Anaahat chakra awakens a seeker’s spiritual emotion and devotion.

In this stage of the prayer mudra, one should be introspective and contemplate upon the experience of being in God’s presence.

Correct posture of the head while praying

Points to note:

Body should be bowed and not erect

Fingers should be parallel to the forehead. Fingers should not be stiff but relaxed.

Fingers should be touching each other – not spread apart

Thumb should be lightly touching the area of the Aadnyaa chakra

Hands need to be gently pressed together – slight space between the palms. In case of seekers above 50% spiritual level, no space is required between the palms.

When praying with spiritual emotion
The following subtle diagram shows what happens when a person at 50% spiritual level prays with spiritual emotion. The main thing to note is that the people in the vicinity also derive the benefit of the Divine Consciousness accessed by that person. (Refer to the part of the diagram which shows 5% of frequencies of Divine Consciousness (Chaitanya) transmitted outside the body.) This is why quite often it has been observed that when people pray with spiritual emotion, the spiritual emotion in others in the vicinity too gets activated.

Does it mean that every time we pray we should take this position?

If one is at a higher spiritual level (above 50%) divine subtle (intangible) frequencies begin to be received directly through the Brahmarandhra itself. The Brahmarandhra is a subtle opening above the Sahasraar Chakra (as per the spiritual science of Kundalini yoga) that has access to the Universal Mind and Intellect. This subtle opening is closed in people of a lower spiritual level. The primary factor that helps the opening of the Brahmarandhra is a lower level of ego. When in this phase of our spiritual growth the need for the prayer mudraa as explained above becomes less and less.

However if a person between the spiritual level of 50% – 80% complements his prayer with the recommended mudraa, then he gets the benefit of additional Divine Consciousness. This additional benefit is 30% more in the case of a person at the 50% spiritual level and it proportionately become less and less as the spiritual level increases.

Since most people are not of a high spiritual level they are unable to receive divine frequencies through the Brahmarandhra. Most people (level 30-60%) are however able to receive subtle frequencies through their finger tips (though to a much lesser extent) as our finger tips are very sensitive to receiving or sending out subtle energy. For this section of people it is best that they do utilise the prayer mudraa suggested above to make a prayer. All other factors remaining equal, by praying using the recommended mudra a person will add 20% to the effectiveness of their prayer as opposed to not using this mudra.

Comparative effectiveness of prayer positions
We are exposed to various hand actions when praying. When conducting spiritual research into the various hand postures (mudraas) related to prayer, the following were our findings in terms of efficacy.

The Use Of Smudging For Negative Energies And Influences In Your Home

Smudging or “smoking” is a form of purification among the Native Americans. Typically white sage is used, but oftentimes other herbs are used as well, such as sweat grass and cedar. Many commercial smudge sticks come in a combination of wrapped herbs like sage/cedar together.

Once lit, the smoke from the smudge wand (or sage pieces if using a smudge pot), is used to cover the body or things ( scared objects: pipes, feathers, flutes, dance regalia, etc.) needing cleansed and purified.

It is typical to use cupped hands to gather the smoke and then smooth it over the “ethnic” body (the aura). Also, feather fans are used assist in the smoke being spread over entire body or object.

Smudge pots can be various items: clay pots, iron holders, or the most common abalone shells.

Smudging is viewed as a form of prayer, a great connection to Spirit. Asking of a blessing, of a protection.

It is also very typical to smudge a house or car. When negative things have happened or have unwanted negative entities in your home. It is a good way to “clean the slate” and give it a fresh clean feeling. It helps to dissipate the energy and allow us to start somewhat fresh.

While smudging you can say a prayer to say while speaking with Spirit. Feel free to use it, knowing that once a story or prayer is given to someone it is theirs, use this giving credit to Tina Michelle who is the author of this Native American Prayer.

“According to what we have been taught, certain plants have entered into a sacred agreement with us two-leggeds: in exchange for our respectful treatment of them, they will give up their lives so that we can have their purifying smoke to cleanse with and to pray with, so that we might stay in balance and keep our walk sacred. This means we are to pick the plants with honor, asking permission and giving thanks, taking only what we need and not damaging the plant. ”

“You can use the following smudging ceremony in manner, or you may create a way that is right to you. No one way is right or wrong. Place the abalone shell in front of you and thank it, aloud or silently, for the life that created it and for helping you in this ceremony. Place the herb(s) that you will be using in the shell, thanking each as you hold it. They have died so that you could have this smoke. That should not inspire guilt, but rather gratitude for the sacrifice. One day you will give your body for other beings of the Earth.

Next, light the smudge mix. As you bring forth the flame, thank Father Sun, from where all fires arise, and also thank the spirit of Fire for coming to help you with this ceremony. Make sure that some of each plant that you have put in the bowl gets lit. That way the smoke will contain all the energies you have chosen to work with. Fan the fire gently with your feather until the herbs are burning enough to create sufficient smoke. Then use the feather to put out the fire, with one or two quick passes. If the smudge looks like it is going out, fan it vigorously until it is smoking again. If it does go out, it is fine to relight it.

Now, using both your hands as a cup, catch some smoke and bring it into your heart. Catch more smoke and pass it over your head and down your neck. Then with each hand, one at a time, pass the smoke along your opposite arm and hand. Then, using both hands, bring more smoke into your navel and down your legs to the ground. This process cleanses our hearts, minds and bodies and helps us to be grounded. While doing this, it is good to see the smoke carry away any cares or physical injuries.

You can now smudge any objects that you might want to by passing them through the smoke from the four directions, starting with the East. Ask that the object be cleansed for your use or giveaway.

If you are smudging with other people, smudge yourself first and then hold the shell by its edges for the others to smudge. You can also smudge a house or room that needs cleansing. Go around the room with the burning smudge, and using your feather, push any negative energies out through an open door or window. When you are done, let the ashes cool and give them back to the Earth with care. They are now going to be soil from which new life arises, so show respect for this part of the ceremony also, and empty the ashes thoughtfully, again thanking the herbs and the fire.

Many people smudge before any other ceremony, to start the day, or before and after a serious discussion. For us, this is a very real ceremony. After doing it, we feel better, our energy feels lighter, and so the day goes better. And it is good to cleanse your house occasionally to clear out any stagnant energy. Above all, realize that with ceremony it is the sacred intent of two-leggeds which opens the door for these powers to work with us.

The power of sage is the power to drive away negative energies. California (broad leaves) and desert (smaller leaves) sage are used interchangeably, or sometimes even together, but usually people prefer one or the other.

Sweet grass has the power to call in positive energies. Its sweet smell helps make us and our objects sweet to spirit. It is sometimes called the hair of the Earth Mother and is braided in the field, with love, before it is harvested.

The evergreens — cedar, juniper and pinion pine — provide balance and harmony.

Lavender has a calming and relaxing influence.

Rose petals call in the power of the heart.

BASIC STEPS TO PERFORM A SMUDGING RITUAL.

Needed: Sage, sweet grass, cedar, or tobacco, singly or in combination, or other herbs; a shell or a natural-made bowl (clay, pottery); a feather or fan; matches; sand or fine soil.

1. Mix together the plants you will be using, placing them in a shell or sturdy bowl, and light them. Some mixtures of herbs do not stay lit well. You may need to put a charcoal briquette in the bowl first. Before lighting either the charcoal or herbs, make sure there is some soil or sand in the bottom of the bowl or shell. This will keep it from being too hot to hold.

2. When the herbs are lit, use a fan or feather from a domestically raised bird* (chicken, turkey, pheasant or duck) to fan out the flame. Throughout the ceremony you will need to fan the herbs to keep them smoldering.
*Non-Indians are not permitted to possess eagle feathers.

3. Once the herbs are smoldering, draw the smoke (not the bowl, just the smoke) to your heart, then over your head, down your arms, and down the front of your body. Now move the smoke over the back of your body toward the ground. If you need special balancing or healing in some part of your body, you can emphasize by pulling the smoke to the area.

4. It is your responsibility to cleanse your own energy field. The plants help. They do not do it for you.

5. Next, offer smoke to the six directions: up to the Creator, down to the Earth, and then to the north, east, south and west, in that order.

6. After you have smudged yourself and offered the smudge, you can hold the bowl while others smudge themselves, or you may smudge them. They should draw the smoke to themselves, first to the heart, over the head, down the arms, down the chest, and down the back.

7. You may now walk around the area you will be using, wafting the smoke as you go. If you are inside, smudge around the walls of the room, paying particular attention to the corners.

8. Smudge any medicine tools you will be using during ceremonies.

You can incorporate this Smudging Ceremony and make it your own to suit your cleansing needs at the time. Make the adjustments for use to do a space clearing and cleansing for getting rid of negative entities that are disruptive in your home and too your family.

Why numbers are so important for spiritual growth? Angels exist and are trying to communicate with us via numbers…

333 — The Ascended Masters are near you, desiring you to know that you have their help, love and companionship. 888 — A phase of your life is about to end, and this is a sign to give you forewarning to prepare. This number sequence may mean you are winding up an emotional career or relationship phase. It also means there is light at the end of the tunnel. In addition it means, The crops are ripe. Don’t wait to pick and enjoy them. In other words, don’t procrastinate in making your move or enjoying the fruits of your labor.

875 — The changes you’re making have put you on the right path for manifesting abundance in all ways.

Four-digit Numbers

To interpret the meaning of four-digit numbers, break the number sequence into three digits and read that interpretation. Then, add the last digit’s interpretation to know the meaning of the entire sequence. For instance, to interpret 2048, begin with the first three digits: 204, and read its interpretation:

204 — God and the angels ask for your patience. Stay filled with faith that your prayers have been heard and are answered.

Then, read interpretation of the last of the four digits in 2048, which is 8:

8 — Know that financial abundance is coming to you now.

Put these two interpretations together and you have the meaning of 2048: God and the angels ask for your patience. Stay filled with faith that your prayers have been heard and are answered. Financial abundance is coming to you now.

Summarizing these combined interpretations, then, 2048 means: “Heaven assures you that your money needs will be supplied. Have patience.”

Five-digit Numbers

You can interpret five-digit numbers in a similar fashion. Just take the first three digits and read its meaning, then read the interpretation of the last two digits in the number sequence. Combine these meanings and then summarize them.

Here’s an example using the five-digit number sequence, 99900:

999 — Get to work, Lightworker! The world needs your Divine life purpose right now. Fully embark upon your sacred mission without delay or hesitation.

And here is the meaning of the last two numbers:

00 — This means that the Creator is emphasizing a message to you and asks that you pay attention and follow the guidance without delay.

Next, add the meanings of the two together to find that 99900 means:

Get to work, Lightworker! The world needs your Divine life purpose right now. Fully embark upon your sacred mission without delay or hesitation. The Creator is emphasizing this message to you and asks that you pay attention and follow the guidance without delay.

In other words, God wants you to fully commit yourself to your life’s purpose…now!

Six-digit Numbers

To interpret the meaning of a six-digit number such as 225496, you’d break it into two or three-digit components. In this case, we’ll break it into 225 and 496. Then, read the interpretation for the first section, which is:

225 — Trust that this change is for the best. You are in a period of transition—letting go of the past and that which is no longer working. Let go and move forward with confidence and faith.

Then, you’d look up the meaning of the second three-digit segment:

496 — The angels ask you to make your Divine life mission your top priority right now. Don’t worry about how it will come about, or any other material aspect concerning your purpose. The angels help with everything.

Next, compile the meanings of each segment so that 225496 means:

Trust that this change is for the best. You’re in a period of transition—letting go of the past and that which is no longer working. Let go and move forward with confidence and faith. The angels ask you to make your Divine life mission your top priority right now. Don’t worry about how it will come about, or any other material aspect concerning your purpose. The angels help with everything.

This is a message, in summary, that says, “Have faith in the changes you’re experiencing. The angels ask you to focus on your Divine life mission, and they’ll supply all your material needs.”
